ADVANCE II

THE WHOLE FLEET UNDER CONTROL

All RPS AEROSPACE UAVs are commanded by a single GCS that is able to manage the entire fleet through a database that records and monitors the activities of each vehicle covering from the pilot logbooks to the technical problems and overlimit.
Inside a parachutable polypropylene trolley, there is the innovative and portable cockpit system with H.O.T.A.S. controllers that meet the NATO STANAG aeronautical requirements for the configuration and layout of the aircraft instruments.

The RPS AEROSPACE® proprietary software eNIGMA
is installed in all the cockpit ground control stations.

ADVANCE II in detail

ADVANCED CONTROL SYSTEM

The Throttle, Pitch and Yaw commands are given to the aircraft through H.O.T.A.S. controllers inspired to helicopter piloting systems. All auxiliary commands, necessary to the flight management, are positioned ergonomically in order to be easily reachable during operation.

SAFE ENERGY MANAGEMENT

The ADVANCE II cockpit ground control station is equipped with a redundant power system. The 120Wh backup power supply can guarantee missions for more than 45 minutes in case of power-loss or outage. The safe and intelligent energy management is part of the RPS AEROSPACE Power Efficiency program.

PHONETIC COMMUNICATION

ADVANCE II is able to communicate in real-time with half-length channels widely spread in industrial and airport operations. Thanks to 16 digital frequencies implemented on systems meeting the US MIL-STD 810G, the encrypted communication is allowed between the pilot and the crew.

HIGH LUMINOSITY MONITOR

ADVANCE II is equipped with two high luminosity monitors that guarantee the readability of characters and images even in case of direct sunlight radiation. The automatic brightness settings depending on the levels of ambient lighting reduces the pilot’s visual fatigue and makes the system safely usable even during night missions.

RADIOLINK

The triple redundant and dissimilar radiolink guarantees a maximum reliability of the communication with aircraft, that occurs through two independent 2.4 GHz channel. Moreover, the system can transmit digital information like video and/or audio on 5.8 GHz bands. The signals and information conveyed through a point-to-point link are further redundant on LTE platform. The ENIGMA software allows to share data between the Ground Control Station and the equipment management station on LTE network with worldwide coverage.
